The British Gliding Team trains at Lasham Gliding Society in Alton, Hampshire and Jake has had a passion for gliding from the beginning:
I started gliding in 2008 at the age of 14. I went solo as soon as I could on my 16th birthday. I’ve been obsessed with competitive gliding ever since my first competition in 2013.
My main flying achievements to date consist of Junior World Champion 2019, three times UK Junior National Champion + 1000km-triangle Open Class National record holder.
I am also an instructor and coach in my free time to try and pass on any knowledge I’ve acquired in my brief career to others!
