AUSTRALIAN actor Johnny Ruffo was forced to undergo emergency surgery to remove a brain tumour after he went to the doctors with a migraine.
The 29-year-old – who took to Instagram to share snaps following the operation – was rushed to hospital, where he was told what was actually wrong with him.
Johnny – who played Chris Harrington in Aussie soap Home and Away between 2013 and 2016 – shared a close-up of his stapled-together head wound, as well as a photograph of himself posing in bed post-surgery with his head bandaged up.
Johnny – who also starred on The X Factor Australia back in 2011 – posted the images, alongside the caption: “Some things in life really put things into persepective, hoping for a positive result, keep me in your thoughts x.”
His management CMC Talent also shared one of the pictures on their Instagram account, with the message: “You are in our thoughts and Prayers Ruffo. We love ya @johnny_ruffo xo.”
Johnny confirmed to Yahoo: “On Sunday I went into hospital with a migraine. I had to have emergency surgery to have a brain tumour removed.”
Johnny’s 199,000 followers were quick to wish the star a speedy recovery after he revealed what had happened, with one person posting: “Hope everything is ok!! Sending well wishes,” alongside a love heart emoji.
A second added: “Wishing you a speedy recovery, you are in our thoughts and prayers x.”
“Praying for you! Please get well soon, you’re such a kind hearted and loving person and your fans are all 100% by your side,” a third wrote.
Yet another shared: “Sending positive vibes x.”
