The Duchess of Cambridge never looks anything other than immaculate.
While the rest of us wilted, sweat and smelled slightly funky in the heat this week, Kate appeared at Ascot looking like a vision.
Of course, her “secret” is she has an arsenal of people whose sole job it is to make her look immaculate.
But it appears there’s another more accessible – and certainly more affordable – “secret weapon” the Duchess uses to get that famous glow.
According to her make-up artist, Arabella Preston, the one item you should use to wash and cleanse your face effectively is a flannel.
“It’s all about the flannel and it’s quite necessary,” Preston recently told The Cut beauty editor Kathleen Hou .
With the dizzying range of beauty products at our disposal these days, there’s every chance the humble flannel gets overlooked in your household.
How it works is by allowing you to remove all your make-up and the dirt accumulated over the course of the day as well as gently exfoliating your skin.

Many popular exfoliants, and even face brushes, can be too hard on the sensitive skin on our face.
Arabella assured Kathleen that using a flannel was “quite necessary.”
And who are we to argue with the woman who taught Kate how to do her own wedding make-up?
